My responsibilities include assisting the manager with the running of weekly management meetings and running the store in their absence, enforce health and safety guidelines and help keep records up-to-date, implement security guidelines and ensure cash management procedures, such as banking, are completed and filed correctly. My roles also include being sales and consumer focused, driving and tracking sales as well as the stores own overall performance.

behaviours on how to give an outstanding customer experience, especially to the children who visit our store. Through this role I have gained sufficient knowledge about the growth of children and have become an expert in the development of children’s feet, this being so I was taken under the wing of Liam King, the Head of Children’s for Clarks HQ who I have worked aside to lead workshops in training new employees.

During my years in this role I was trained to become an excellent sales team member through the training and experience I was given. I learnt how to negotiate with customers and quickly problem solve any issues I was faced with. I held a positive and mature approach when dealing with difficult situations. I was top sales person for several of our ‘Back To School’ periods during my time in the role.

This meant during my free time I helped those who struggled reading by assisting them through books and assisting them in becoming confident English readers. As a classroom assistant I had to self-motivate myself to be able to confidently gain the attention of the students and keep a high level of energy to inspire them to learn. Through my role as a children’s team leader and the experience I gained from being a classroom assistant I have attained excellent communication skills from discussing shoe fittings with parents in Clarks stores to talking with children in the classroom providing them with the knowledge they need to perform their work correctly.
DuringCharitymyOrganisertimeatschool–St.Martin’sIheldtheSchoolroleof(2009‘Charity-2011)Organiser’ for all of my schools events in our Sixth Form Committee. I have held and run charity days, such as McMillian Coffee Mornings and Children In Need, setting up activities for the teachers and students to partake in whilst raising awareness and money for our sponsored charities. The most successful of these activities was a football game of sixth formers against
teachers; this raised an outstanding amount of money for charity and involved a lot of preparation which required a sufficient amount of stress and time management ability.
I have a great interest in sport and health, especially playing netball. During my years of playing netball I was chosen to captain my school team which allowed me to put into practice my leadership skills and later I played at university level with the Cardiff University Netball Club. I also enjoy running and have completed many 10k charity runs and successfully completed a sponsored Cardiff Half Marathon raising money for the charity established to support bereaved parents who lose a child suddenly‘2 andWishtraumaticallyUponAStar’,.
Another interest of mine is travel, I have recently returned from travelling across Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand which gave me the opportunity to broaden my horizons and meet a lot of interesting people.
